STAGE STAR TO MOVIES

Hollywood has won another Broadway favorite in Mary Phillips, former leading woman for George M. Cohan. Miss Phillips, who in real life is married to Humphrey Bogart, has signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer following her recent stage appearance opposite Richard Barthelmess in "The Postman Rings Twice." Her first role is as the comedienne in "Maytime," starring Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy.
