BIO: Alfred Manuel Martin was born in 928 in Berkeley, CA and died in 989 in Johnson City, NY. He played major league baseball from 950 to 96 as infielder for the New York Yankees, Kansas City Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Braves and the Minnesota Twins, appeared in the 95, 952, 953, 955 and 956 World Series, and was selected in 956 as an All-Star. After retiring in 96, Martin worked as a scout for the Minnesota Twins from 962 to 964, and a Twins coach from 965 to May of 968. He then replaced Johnny Goryl as manager of the Denver Bears for the rest of 968, and the Minnesota Twins in 969. He then went on to manage the 969 Minnesota Twins, 97 to 973 Detroit Tigers, 973 to 975 Texas Rangers, 975 to 979 New York Yankees (including the 977 World Champion team), 980 to 982 Oakland Athletics, and the 983, 985 and 988 New York Yankees. Martin was killed in a car accident on Christmas 989.

Willard Wayne Terwilliger (Twig) was born in 925 in Clare, MI and died in 202 in Weatherford, TX. He went to college at Western Michigan University. He played major league baseball from 949 to 960 as infielder for the Chicago Cubs, Brooklyn Dodgers, Washington Senators, New York Giants and the Kansas City Athletics. In 960, he fully retired to the dugout. Among his stops as a coach were with the Washington Senators and Texas Rangers under manager Ted Williams from 969 to 972, the Rangers again from 98 to 985, and with the Minnesota Twins from 986 to 994, where he won two World Series. He coached with the independent league St. Paul Saints from 995 to 2002.

James Edward Runnels (born James Edward Runnells) was born in 928 in Lufkin, TX and died in 99 in Pasadena, TX. He played major league baseball from 95 to 964 as infielder for the Washington Senators, Boston Red Sox and the Houston Colt .45's, and was selected 3 times as an All-Star. Following his playing days, he returned to Boston to coach the Red Sox two years (965-966), and on September 8, 966 the Red Sox fired manager Billy Herman (64-82) and named Runnels as interim pilot. He managed them for the last 6 games of the year, ending his baseball career at age 40 on September 30. His grandson, Jonathan Runnels, was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 29th round of the 2007 amateur draft.
