If you have any questions about a particular piece, please ask before the auction ends. BIO: Vernon Gerald Ruhle was born in 1951 in Coleman, MI and died in 2007 in Houston, TX. He went to college at Olivet College. He played major league baseball from 1974 to 1986 as pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians and the California Angels. Ruhle has served as pitching coach for the Houston Astros (1997-2000), Philadelphia Phillies (2001-2002), New York Mets (2003), the Billings Mustangs (2004) and Cincinnati Reds (2005). He was also an assistant coach at California State University, Fullerton (1990) and the University of Oklahoma (1991-1995). He was diagnosed with cancer (multiple myeloma) during Spring Training in 2006 and took a leave of absence from the Reds. Cancer took his life less than a year later. SKU: LSP01137
