BIO: Alexander George McCarthy was born in 1888 in Chicago, IL and died in 1978 in Salisbury, MD. He went to college at the University of Notre Dame. He played major league baseball from 1910 to 1917 as infielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Cubs.
