BIO: Emory Nicholas Church was born in 1924 in Birmingham, AL and died in 2001 in Birmingham, AL. He played major league baseball from 1950 to 1955 as pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs. After baseball, Church was a salesman for a medical and surgical supplies company serving doctor's offices and clinics until his retirement in 1988.
