BIO: Charles John Grimm (Jolly Cholly) was born in St. Louis, MO and died in 1983 in Scottsdale, AZ. He played major league baseball from 1916 to 1936 as 1st baseman for the Philadelphia Athletics, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Chicago Cubs, and appeared in the 1929 and 1932 World Series. He went on to manage teams including the Chicago Cubs, Boston Braves, and Milwaukee Braves. He was also a sometime radio broadcaster, and a popular goodwill ambassador for baseball.
