Joseph Vincent McCarthy (Marse Joe) was born in 1887 in Philadelphia, PA and died in 1978 in Buffalo, NY. McCarthy managed the 1926-1930 Chicago Cubs, 1931-1946 New York Yankees, and the 1948-1950 Boston Red Sox.
