BIO: Richard William Bass was born in 1906 in Rogersville, TN and died in 1989 in Graceville, FL. He went to college at Miami University. He played major league baseball for a single season in a single game in 1939 as pitcher for the Washington Senators. He managed the Fort Wayne Daisies briefly in the AAGPBL but was let go after developing a crush on one of his players.
