See scans for signature quality and photo condition. BIO: Edward Frank Burtschy was born in 1922 in Cincinnati, OH and died in 2004 in Cincinnati, OH. He played major league baseball from 1950 to 1956 as pitcher for the Philadelphia Athletics and the Kansas City Athletics. After graduating from high school in 1940, Burtschy signed a minor league contract, but he joined the Navy in September of 1940 and served aboard the USS Ticonderoga. Following his military service, he returned to the minors and, on June 17, 1950, he made his debut in the American League with the Athletics. After retiring, he worked as a freight salesman in the trucking industry. SKU: L13925
