BIO: Joseph Robert Cunningham Jr. was born in 1931 in Paterson, NJ and died in 2021 in Chesterfield, MO. He played major league baseball from 1954 to 1966 as 1st baseman and outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago White Sox and the Washington Senators, and was selected in 1959 as an All-Star. After retiring, Cunningham managed in the minors for the St. Louis Cardinals in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He then worked in the front office in sales. Cunningham later went on to serve on the team's major league coaching staff in 1982.
