BIO: Joseph Anthony Kuhel was born in Cleveland, OH and died in 984 in Kansas City, KS. He played major league baseball from 930 to 947 as st baseman for the Washington Senators and the Chicago White Sox, and appeared in the 933 World Series. Kuhel was the best defensive first baseman in the American League during the 930s, but also was an inconsistent player who struggled with injuries most of his career. Hampered by playing in Griffith Stadium most of his career, his power numbers were never as good as they may have been in a less unpleasant hitters park. SKU: GB11157
