BIO: Juan Bautista Berenguer was born in 1954 in Aguadulce, Panama. He played major league baseball from 1978 to 1992 as pitcher for the New York Mets, Kansas City Royals, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, San Francisco Giants, Minnesota Twins and the Atlanta Braves, and appeared in the 1987 World Series. After his major-league career, Berenguer starred for the Minneapolis Loons of the new independent North Central League and Prairie League.
