BIO: Rafael (Corrales) Palmeiro was born in 1964 in Havana, Cuba and went to college at Mississippi State University. He played major league baseball from 1986 to 2005 as 1st baseman and outfielder for the Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers and the Baltimore Orioles, and was selected 4 times as an All-Star. Palmeiro was the 1999 Major League Player of the Year. His son, Patrick Palmeiro, was drafted in the 2008 amateur draft.
