BIO: Raymond Lee Murray (Deacon) was born in 1917 in Spring Hope, NC and died in 2003 in Fort Worth, TX. He played major league baseball from 1948 to 1954 as catcher for the Cleveland Indians and the Philadelphia Athletics. After his time in baseball was over, he became a deputy sheriff in Tarrant County, Texas.
